Merry Christmas 24.12.07
Now it's finally Christmas again and we wished you all are Merry Christmas and are Happy New Year. To all lucky teams wish we her from NXT Generation good luck both in Atlanta, Georgia, USA to FLL World Festival and in Tokyo in Japan to FLL OAC. NXT Generation ones again bring home the programming award 01.12.07
At the 8th Scandinavian FLL finale, which was held in Herning, NXT
Generation ones again won the programming award. We also got nominated for Best
Construction. As usual we also had some prices the spectators could win at our
pit area. The prices was a Lego crane and 4 tickets to
Danfoss Universe.

Today was
the day. We meet in the Nordals Idræts Center at 8am to set up our pit area. At
10 the competition started. We were able to run 3x400 points and that gave us
the 2nd price in the robot performance competition. The competition was really
tough and still there was time to cheer on the other teams. A special thank to Frøslevlejrens boarding school for their support and corporation. Our team came
home with 6 awards. The teamwork awards, the Insight award, The dairy award, the
robot performance 2nd price award, and last but not least the Champion award. Herning here we come!

NXT Generation
came in second at the
Robot festival
in Odense 25.8.2007
NXT Generation came in second at the Robot Festival in Odense. FIRST Edition had the most reliable robot and was named the winner. Unfortunately for JunkYard Babies they did ot score very well. A team from Japan also had trouble making high scores but they were also new to FLL and Mindstorm NXT. The price for participating was a nice NXT education set from Mikro Værkstedet.
NXT Generation will participate in the Robot festival in Odense on August 25th 15.7.2007
From the 23rd-25th of August a Robot festival will take place in Odense. Here our NXT Generation team will compete against FLL team FIRST Edition and JunkYard Babies from Sweden. A team from Japan will also participate.

NXT Generation exhibits and entertain in Danfoss Universe13.5.2007
12th and 13th of May visitors at the Danfoss Universe had a chance to build robots together with the NXT Generation team. There was also a good chance for the team to promote FIRST Lego League. Many of the visitors had a lot of fun programming and building NXT robots. The young children got a chance to drive the NXT Generation robot an take home 400 points. NXT Generation made advertisement for FIRST Lego League. The weather was perfect and Charlottes farther brought a real American layer cake "Bigger is better". See pictures from the town square under photo album.

At the Science day in Sønderborg NXT Generation exhibited and promoted FIRST Lego League. The theme for the Science day was "Renewable energy" which goes very well together with the FLL Power Puzzle theme. See pictures from the exhibition under photo album.

Today we had a real big dinner14.4.2007
NXT Generation is celebrating the result with a huge dinner at the City cafe. As can be seen the children burger is a big thing. Tomorrow Sunday we will travel back to Denmark.
The result was a well deserved 3rd place award in the category robot performance13.4.2007
NXT Generation can non write in their CV that they are among the very best in the world at running and programming FIRST Lego League robots.

Visit to PR-Lab Aps in Hørup!4.3.2007
Today we visited PR-Lab in Hørup where we tried to make our own carbon from sugar (hydrocarbon). With the help of sulfuric acid the water was withdrawn from the sugar and left over was pure carbon. The visit was very interesting. We would like ones again to thank Poul Agerbæk-Larsen a very interesting visit.

World Festival, we are coming!03.02.2007
Today we held a small sponsor and family get together. Here our coaches told us that they had a good but also bad news. The good news was that our team had been invited to participate in the Open European Championship (OEC) in Bodø in Norway. The bad news was that Susanne, Jesper and Søren could not come for the OEC due to the fact that they have to stay home for their school examination. Therefore the trip to Bodø had also been cancelled. Big disappointment. Hereafter came however one more good news. Instead our team has been invited to participate in the FLL World Festival in Atlanta in April 2007.
