Wonderful trip to Sweden.05.12.2006

The trip to Sweden was very long. We drove 1920 km, but it was all worth the trouble.
We got nominated for the programming award and the invention award, but we also got the trophy for the construction award. In the robot competition we came in on a fifth place out of 40 teams, so all in all we are pleased with the results. We were on stage 2 times wit hour show, both during the competition but also at the evening party. At the evening show we really managed to get the party rolling. Besides our performance there was also there was also a live band playing. It was a real exiting party and we did not turn home until midnight.
To everyone on the team we would like to say thank you for a really nice and fun trip.

Yes, we are going to Sweden.11.11.2006

We showed up early in the morning in the Nordals hallen to set up our pit area.
The 3 qualifying round did not go 100% as planned but we still made it all the way to the finales.
In the finale we competed against "Frøslevlejerens efterskole". There was a fantastic atmosphere during the finale, both teams was cheering and supporting each other.
The Nano Quest and technical presentation also went very well.
Also the show went very well and our team ended up going home with a total of 7 trophies.  Robot performance 1. place award, Teamwork award, Programming award, Robot construction award, Technology award, Research award and the FIRST LEGO League Champion award.

Tomorrow the FLL finale is on!10.11.2006

Today we visited two schools where we told the students about our Nano project.
First we visited Nørreskovskolen, where we were in the class of  Charlotte, Tom and Rasmus.
Beside telling them about the out Nano project we also showed them how well our robot is doing.
(400 points in under 2 minutes). Afterwards we went to Midtals Friskole, the school of Mads and Nicolaj.
In addition to presenting our Nano project we also got very good advice from their song teacher about our song performance. We thank her very much for these valuable hints, so with these good advices and some real high performance runs with our robot as well as a good Nano project we are comfortable with going to the final tomorrow.

Now We are close!29.10.2006

Now we finally reached 400 point, but we still need to practice some more. Our costumes are also finished, but the skirts for the girls, which Charlottes grandmother is making, are not completed yet, but they will soon be ready. On Friday November 10th, we are going tell about our nanoproject on to local schools. So all in all we are ready to compete, with all the other teams, in Nordalshallen.

We are well on our way!17.10.2006

The programming of the robot is going well, and the theoretical is also moving forward. We don't have the 400 points yet but it will come soon. We are making our name banner, it is looking very good. Our song is almost finished and Jesper and Dorthes grandmother and her friends have made some really nice hats for the Team.

Thanks from NXT Generation.

WE have completed the new challenge kit today, so now we just have to wait for the official contest description, it will happen on Saturday :-)

New Members.19.8.2006

Today we exhibited on the town square in Guderup. We were looking for new members. All in all 5 new members turned up, one girl and five boys. Charlotte, Nicolai, Mads, Tom and Rasmus is their names. Members are also Susanne, Jesper and Søren, who all was members of the old RoboGenius team.

NXT arrived.13.7.2006

Finally our new NXT robot has arrived from USA. When we were in the US in April we ordered our new NXT robot. The NXT was on the marked in the US before it came out in Denmark. When we as RoboGenius participated in FLL World Festival, in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, we saw the NXT robot for the first time. Some people from Lego was showing the NXT robot. They explained about all the advantages of the new NXT compared to the old RCX model. Besides improvements of the motors and the old sensors there was added two new sensors, a sound sensor and a ultrasonic distance sensor. It is clear that all FLL teams would like to have the new NXT and therefore we also ordered a set and now we can with joy report that we most likely are some of the first that got a set.
